Absolutely love the personal cakes! Lots of variety (including the fruit-looking ones) and they’re nicely decorated. They also have a plenty of fresh pastries to choose from as well. Will be back!!

Shakalaka bakery I love! I really like the Chinese desserts and sweets here and it’s probably one of my favorite bakeries in Flushing. They offer really fun and delicious flavors here with their pastries and cakes. The prices here are also really good. Their bread is also really good. I tried the Japanese crab meat bread, Coconut cream bread, and their egg sandwich which I loved! They tasted delicious and they were also very filling. The ambience is modern and clean. The line moves quickly. However, it can be hard to find a seat here and it can get very busy. It’s best to grab your pastries and go. It is also near public transit, and the train. I will come back here again to pick up a cake from here, the prices are good and the flavors are also good. Price:$8.75💸 Rating: 9/10📝

I found this amazing bakery right in the heart of Flushing. Their cakes are beautifully made and look absolutely stunning. I heard that many people specifically come here for the taro pork floss cake, so I decided to try it. The sweet and savory combination was really unique and surprisingly delicious. All the other cakes also looked very special and beautifully crafted — I can’t wait to come back and try more. The service was great as well, and it’s a perfect spot to relax and enjoy some afternoon tea. Highly recommend!

The ice caramel latte from Shakalaka Bakery is a delightful treat! The oat milk perfectly balances the rich caramel flavor, creating a creamy, smooth experience. It's definitely one of their top drinks. Don’t miss out on their other stuff like their signature cakes which I’ve heard a lot about. The cakes are my friends most delicious and I’ve been wanting to try it!

Went to Shakalaka Bakery in Flushing today. They have a bunch of really pretty cakes — like the kind you end up staring at for way too long because you can’t decide. We grabbed a few to try, and they were actually pretty good. Not too sweet and really soft. The shop is super clean and everything’s nicely set up. And I heard it’s the same owner as SALSWEE in Manhattan, which kinda makes sense once you see the style 😂 Anyway, if you’re in Flushing and feel like getting a cute cake, this place is worth a try. Pretty solid overall. <b>UPDATE</b> Came back to try their new items after my first visit. Tried the Happy Pistachio & Chestnut Cake — I originally thought the chestnut would be a smooth paste, but it actually has a chunky texture. The pistachio flavor is on the lighter side, not very strong, but the cake itself is still very soft, moist, and fluffy as expected. The highlight for me was the Golden Osmanthus Fermented Rice Cake. This one is super unique — the top jelly has a light osmanthus fragrance, and the inside includes fermented rice, which I’ve honestly never seen in a cake before.
